David works as a human fixer (known as a Day Man) for a vampire family, handling all that boring daytime minutiae, from body disposal and feeding cleanup to gofer errands, like bribing cops and the transfer of magical merchandise, with his most important task that of protecting those of his vampire employers that still sleep while the sun is up.
